Design is where we start
Everything else we do, from websites to video to ad campaigns, works better when the brand underneath it is clear. A strong identity makes a small business look established, gives a campaign a recognizable voice, and makes every future project faster because the big decisions are already made.
What we design
Brand identities. Logos, color palettes, type systems and visual brand guides for companies, consultancies, campaigns and nonprofits. Recent identities include Stonebridge, Seventh Floor Strategies, Decision Desk HQ and The Rock Pile at Pebble Creek.
Campaign and advocacy creative. Ads, social graphics, infographics and data visualization for associations, advocacy groups and public affairs teams, including work for Business Roundtable and the New York Sun.
Print and publications. Reports, program guides, event invitations, book covers and newsletters.
Music and merchandise. Album artwork for recording artist Brittany Jean and merchandise design for Brucetrek.

- Refine. One direction, developed and tested on real uses like a sign, a social post and a website header.
- Guide and files. A visual brand guide and every file format your team and vendors need.

Brand & Graphic Design FAQs
What's the difference between a logo and a brand identity?
A logo is one mark. A brand identity is the whole system around it, including color, type, imagery, layout and voice, written down in a guide so everything your business puts out looks and sounds like the same company.
How does a brand identity project work?
It starts with a conversation about your business, your customers and your competitors. Then come logo concepts, refinement, and a visual brand guide with the colors, fonts and examples your team needs. Finished files arrive in every format you'll use, for print, web and social.
Can you refresh our brand without starting over?
Yes. Many projects are refreshes that keep what people already recognize and fix what's dated or inconsistent. A guide and a set of working templates often do more than a new logo.
Do you design for campaigns and advocacy work?
Yes. Campaign creative is a big part of the work, including ads, social graphics, infographics, event invitations and reports for associations, advocacy groups, campaigns and public affairs firms, often on tight deadlines.
Who does the design work?
Evan Walker, Satellite Black's founder and Creative Director, leads every brand project, with experience across a broad range of industries working as a Creative Director, Developer and strategist.
